Lassi, Kefalonia?

We have found a possible place to stay in Lassi at the end of June. It's dh and I with our 16yo dd
This looks like a busier place than we would normally choose so I'm really looking for opinions from people who have been there.
We would be happy to hire a car for at least part of the time as we'd like to explore the island too

Personally, I didn't like Lassi. The beach there is stunning - white sand with crystal clear water but it was very crowded with row upon row of beach beds. It's also a very steep walk down to the beach. This didn't bother us too much as we were only there for a few hours but it wouldn't appeal having to do it every day (& I'm someone who is very active even on holiday!). The resort itself is busy & in my opinion not particularly charming. We only visited for the day & I'm glad we had decided to stay elsewhere on the island because the rest is lovely! Even in August we managed to find quiet beaches (Ai Helis for example).
