Hi all...getting excited about being able to travel again possibly...last trip was a few years ago, we went to Thassos, Hotel Mediterranean, literally right on the (quiet) beach, lovely place, nice walks along beach, quiet but just enough places to eat in the evening, like 5 places, mainly on the beach, and we also hired a car to explore for a few days. Nice main town not too touristy. Perfection. We would like the same but different! Any ideas?! We don't mind busier, but I think it was special because it was a small 20 room hotel right on the beach, which you might not get in the busier / more popular places. That's what I want! Prefer modest to chi chi / boutique!. Have DD10 and DS7 they are happy with just sea sand and snorkelling. Thanks guys xx

We stayed in Agios Gordios (not to be confused with Agios Georgios) in Corfu a couple of times. It sounds similar to what you have described, with the added bonus that Corfu town is only half an hour away by bus or car. There are quite a few different small apartment complexes, mostly with a pool. Try Stevens on the Hill or the Sea Breeze. Corfu is stunning - ive always wanted to go to Thassos though as well, it sounds lovely!

Thank you - have had a look and it looks great, although the sea seems a bit more open and choppy there - the great thing with where we were in Thassos is that it was shallow and dead flat - made it so relaxing with the children, we didn't have to hold their hands all the time. Also it was great for snorkelling whilst still in our depth so even our children could do it. Really Thassos (and the Hotel Meditteranean and the village) was so perfect...most of the tavernas were right on the beach too (no roads)...I'd go back but I always like to try new places! I can highly recommend it.

We had a fabulous holiday in Tigaki in Kos 18 months ago. It sounds like it will tick all the boxes for you.
