Hi, in my quest to find the perfect holiday for 2022. (And keep myself distracted) I've been looking for the best area to stay.
We've stayed on crescent lakes last time and loved the villa but found it a long way to most things.
This time (after watching far too many holiday programmes) I've discovered the resort type places where you can hire a villa but still have the other pools etc which will be great as its two families going in one villa.
So today on 'a place in the sun' they visited champions gate which looked lovely. I've since realised its huge so not sure where to look on that resort. I've been looking at Windsor hills too.
Any other recommendations or tips would be great.
Thanks

Champions Gate is about 11 miles from WDW and 25 miles from Orlando via I-4. Windsor Hills is closer overall to both WDW and Orlando.

You must look at Reunion!

AgnesNaismith · 11/02/2021 15:47

Reunion is near champions gate and at the centre of it is a really fancy hotel. There are villas you can rent on owners direct through there and through the hotel itself. You can get beautiful Italian food delivered from the hotel and if you want to eat at the rooftop restaurant there they send a minivan for free. It’s really secure with a guard at the gates 24/7. There is also an amazing spa on site and kids club.

There are mansions to rent, houses with pools, townhouses and flats and they are all beautiful! I’ve stayed there 4 times so ask any questions Smile

Also a 30 minute drive feels like a 5 minute drive because the roads are so huge and easy to drive on!

Daft question but are the villas on reunion all without lanais?
We need one or dh will be eaten alive!

Ahhh I see - yes, most of them are...I think it was a rule of building them.

JustNotFunAnymore · 11/02/2021 20:04

Ah I see, it rules that out for us which is a shame as there are some beautiful places

It is beautiful...if you stay in Champions Gate it’s not too far away and the restaurant is lovely for a classy evening meal Smile you can see the fireworks in the distance from the pool terrace. Enjoy booking!! We booked to go this April but cancelled it of course.

Thank you. What site did you look for yours on? Hope you can rebook soon. It looks a pretty area on Google maps.

Windsor hills - it’s 10 mins from Disney, close to a Walmart and near the 192 for restaurants and access to i4

We stayed at Windsor hills in 2016 and it was SO close to the parks we loved it. Definitely a vote for there.

Thank you!
I've been looking at solterra too

We stayed in Windsor Hills a few times and loved it's proximity to Disney.

Archfeld Boulevard has some lovely properties which are west facing and not overlooked at the rear. I can't remember the number of the one we stayed in but would definitely recommend looking for south/west facing villa which is not facing onto another pool.

I've literally discounted tonnes of villas that were stunning based on their proximity to too many other villas.
