Whoa! We're going to Barbados!

Can anyone tell me if the water is safe to prepare baby feeds...obviously boiled first...or do I need to get bottled water?

Any other tips gratefully received.

The tap water is absolutely fine. Just the same as ours, ready to drink. Where are you staying? We were there at the end of the Summer hols and had a great time.

What other info do you want? Will do my best to help if you've got other questions.

We didn't go out & about hugely whilst we were there, but can heartily recommend the Atlantis submarine trip. It is very well organised. You take a 10 minute boat trip out to it and then board the sub for a 40 minute trip. It is all air-conditioned and very smooth and they take you past a shipwreck and if you are lucky you will see sea turtles too! Very, very good we thought.

went to Barbados on our honeymoon 10 yrs ago...

tap water is as good, if not better than ours. It comes from springs, and all the rainwater is filtered through limestone before it gets to the springs, so very clean.

There is an excellent underground train tour of some caves (can't remember which, but it be obvious )

Enjoyed a tour of a rum distillery

"Animal flower cave" a cave with lots of sea anemones in it

Jeep safari and Catamaran trips were fab, but perhaps not with a 6mo!

Hire a car and drive around if you can. They drive on the left, and it's not that big a place.

If you've got money to burn () go for dinner at The Cliff (but you'll need a babysitter I fear). Fantastic food and an amazing setting, on the west coast right on the sea.

Oh, I wish I could come!
