Changing name on passport

Hello, anybody know the best way to go about changing your name on your passport in these covid times? Can it be done online? Name was changed by deed poll so it's not a 'marriage update' as it were. Any advice or experience welcome, please! X

Hi, you can fill the form out online and then they just ask you to post the documents required to them.

We had to change my partner's name ( went from one surname to double barrel) we had to send in new birth certificate, something with his photo and new name on and also a 2 utility bills with his new name on x

Wow, didn't know about a new birth certificate with a name change @mammaaof is that standard??
Thanks for info... Poss a daft question but am assuming they post stuff back? Do you have to provide a return envelope? Xx

@Greyhoundgirly yes it's standered also had to send his old birth certificate also it was a nightmare if I'm honest! No you don't need to provide an envelope they do send everything back
