I have just been offered a two day work trip(junket) to New York and we are going on EOS airways which is the business class only flight

and my dp is a total babe because he said 'no problem' when I put it to him

Either you are all so jealous that you can't bring yourselves to post or you all have Longhaul on ignore.

Jealous!! ME?!!

Lio · 30/10/2007 20:41

Why would I be jealous, I once got to go to Kings Cross on the bus for work

onlyjoking9329 · 30/10/2007 20:42

enjoy

unknownrebelbang · 30/10/2007 20:42

Lovely.

DH has just informed me of a colleague who's going on a cruise costing £7,000!!!

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 30/10/2007 20:43

thanks and I come back on the Friday morning and I am going to Portugal on Friday evening for another work trip

I am jealous.....lucky swine

bigspender30 · 30/10/2007 20:45

can i have your job please? Although you will be tired. I came off a flight from Florida once and had to go to a conference in Brussels the next day. It was tough

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 30/10/2007 20:47

Yes if it was real work I would think that an immediate work trip straight off another one would be a bit of a pain BUT the EOS flights all have beds and the Portuguese trip is in a VINEYARD

I'm not jealous. Have flown business class (with BA) to NY twice, and didn't have to work whilst I was there.

Have a lovely time though .

bigspender30 · 30/10/2007 20:51

you jammy git! Can I be your PA?

Coolmama · 30/10/2007 20:51

If Eos is anything like Silverjet, it will change your idea of transatlantic travel forever - but beware - it is addictive

paulaplumpbottom · 30/10/2007 20:52

Virgin's Upper Class would have been the way to go

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 30/10/2007 20:53

Oh no I am not important enough to have a pa but my 'work' involves viewing properties and being wined and dined so it hardly counts as work. Well it does if it is a block of flats somewhere crap but I know these two trips will be fun

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 30/10/2007 20:54

But EOS is like Silverjet, it only has 48 seats on a 757 instead of 220. Better than Virgin I think.

paulaplumpbottom · 30/10/2007 20:58

Not by a long shot

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 30/10/2007 21:00

Thanks Paula, I will have a lovely time

bigspender30 · 30/10/2007 21:06

i just had a nosy on the Eos website. Looks FAB.

DelGirl · 30/10/2007 21:14

good on you Carmenere but I think I can beat you A friend of mine is hiring a private island in Singapore next year for her birthday and i'm going

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 30/10/2007 21:15

Yes it does doesn't it
I expect that if I am ever lucky enough to go on Virgin upper class like Paula, I will then have a different standard to judge flights by but for now I am very happy with my lot
