What are you interested in? Debenhams cafe is pretty nice. There's some nice shops/cafes in the alleyways between the main shopping street and the cathedral, but would be up and down quite a few steps.

Is it a long walk to the shops from the station?

I have never been before (well except to teh zoo)
mumis wanting to buy my b'day present early - its not until end of Nov - but she really can't afford much and has already bought the train tickets and will do lunch so trying to keep the costs down for her! i have no idea what i want!

It's about 10/15 minute walk - but there is a FREE bus if you have a train ticket from station to city centre.

thank you for asking it was busy and am soooo glad i didn't take the DCs as its a city full of steps!

had a lovely day and the city itself is beautiful! (well, aside from the river which seemed to have things floating in it )

my hips are still a bit sore and i am still shattered but had a lovely time.

thank you fro teh advice on teh free bus too - would never have known otherwise!
