tipping hairdressers

I have a hairdresser who comes to the house, cuts all our hair, should I tip? I don't think I should as she obviously sets her prices to take this into consideration ,and tipping is usually done in restaurants etc so boost the poor wage. I always give her a christmas present - what does everyone else think?

i dont tip my hairdresser, she charges enough as it is! the way i look at it is if the hairdresser thinks they deserve more then they should put prices up, im a bit tight when it comes to tipping- i only tip in a restuarant if i get really good service and spectacular food.

I'm a tipper but, I don't tip my hairdresser, she charges me a lot of money and she co owns the salon anyway, so she's hardly likely to need the drippings from my pocket.
