Car Travel in New York with a 2 month old

We're going to New York in November with our 2 month old. Can anybody advise on the best way to get from JFK airport to the city? We're not bringing a car seat with us so are unsure of how to go about booking suitable transportation. Thanks!

Well, you can either take the bus, taxi or the AirTrain.

Air Train

Where are you going in the City? You could use a sling and use a bus or whatever. Options here.

Without a car seat, I'd feel safer in a bus or train than in a private car. Buses and trains are less likely to stop suddenly, so seat belts aren't necessary ... so a baby without a car seat should still be ok.

Limo service will provide car seats

Here are the laws

This is why we got a Quinny Zapp. Light to carry and stick in the hold, and Maxicosi
car seat clips onto the frame to make a buggy. Great for travelling.

Thanks littleNon, that's really helpful

We've got a BabyBjorn carrier for sightseeing and didn't want the hassle of bringing our Quinny hence the lack of car seat

Fair enough! have a brilliant time! The ice rink at Rockefeller Center is open now, and there's a fab wine bar/shop right by it

I'd book a limo.
