Train travel - Cheap day return question

Does anyone know if you are restricted in what time you can depart from London in an evening?
I know you have to arrive after 10am but I thought you had to travel back after peak time too but dh says you can travel back at anytime

You can travel back anytime - at least you can on Southwest Trains.

i thought it was before 16.30 or after 18.30 but I might be wrong. I'd check with your train operator

Thanks - I checked and you can travel back anytime (it is south west trains!)

No restrictions on Cheap Day Returns after 10. Sometimes there are if you book in advance.
