I am going then too!
Is there a cinema?someone at school has told ds there is but I didn't see it in the details

wilbur · 24/10/2004 15:45

Yes they have cbeebies, but I think you have to get the tv service switched on to get it, don't know if it costs. And yes there's a cinema in the Sports Arena, but they only have one or two showings a day of the same film all week (when we were there it was Big Fish), so it's not like a multiplex or anything. Cinema is near to the Indian restaurant so you can have a curry afterwards if you've booked a sitter.

the reason i was unsure about cbeebies is that in the insight guide it only mentions the 5 terrestrial channels. anyone else able to tell me? (not that we're addicts, only really want the bedtime hour as it is the key to the smoothrunning of our bedtime routine and opening of bottle of red wine!)

They had a cbeebies and cinema at Elveden, hope they do at Longleat, will have to check the website.

madgirl · 24/10/2004 18:49

yes we were at elvedon in may but i think their guide mentioned it which is why i got a bit worried when the longleat guiude only mentions the terrestrial channels

right just seen movie capsule up in their guide online. I would think as a family holiday they would have it in all parcs, for parent sanity.
They only have channels which reflect the clients taste I spose? Like the extreme sports channel too. And only one movie channel, they want you aout and about in the parc spending money not sitting about watching telly!

madgirl · 24/10/2004 19:05

mistress mary, don't follow are you saying they do or don't have it? (sorry)

Yes they have cinema called the movie capsule and I reckon they have cbeebies too as standard.

foxinsocks · 26/10/2004 08:47

they do have cbeebies

I am going to Longleat first time Monday.I was just wondering about whether to take smart clothes for the restaurants as at the moment have only packed warm outdoorsy stuff and boots and wellies!

woodpops · 27/10/2004 09:15

Nope I wouldn't noddy5, they're all casual with the exception of the French one. Most people tend to be wearing trackies or jeans and fleeces.

skiingmummy · 27/10/2004 09:50

We went to Longleat in July and I would suggest not bothering to take anything too posh. The one night we went out to a 'posh' restaurant I just wore a nice top with my jeans and it was fine.

Don't forget you'll probably end up walking/biking home in the pouring rain so theres no point being too smartly dressed! (unless you want to make a bit more effort of course!) Anything goes really.

noddy5 · 27/10/2004 17:43

thanks everyone!

noddy5 · 30/10/2004 11:22

Also is there a cashpoint on site or should I take cash?

alterego · 30/10/2004 11:36

cashpoints on site at all CenterParcs.

vanclan · 01/11/2004 19:19

Don't worry so much. There is loads to do you won't have any time to watch tv.The whole Parc is really informal and friendly. There are loads of different restaurants etc.Just go relax and have a good time. You'll love everything about it.
