72 hr covid test for travel over Xmas

Got a real headache- have a lovely family holiday in the Caribbean planned for over the new year, we leave on 31st dec (obviously this wasn't our first choice of dates! This is several cancellations etc later...) But anyway, at the moment it looks like it is going ahead. Trouble is we need PCR tests 72 hours before we fly. Which means getting them on 28th/29th and processed in time for the flight- really worried that Xmas time will mean results are slower than usual.
Anyone else in the same boat, or has anyone used any reliable fast turnaround test company?

Just had ours done last week and was worried about the timing as it had to be still valid on landing at destination. Had the tests at 3pm, results and fit to fly certificate arrived by 9am the next morning.

Watching this. Thinking of going to Canaries on 27th ( if we stay in tier 3). I am also thinking on how to get tested and results back in time. Think it may be really busy. Can't stand the thought of being in Tier 3 and sat at home for 2 weeks 😩

Hi. Where are you flying from? I am flying to Chile in February and found out that Sofitel are doing a “Test & Rest” package where you book a night’s stay at their hotel at Heathrow/Gatwick, you’re given a self-administered PCR test which you need to hand into reception by 8pm and the results are processed overnight and will be with you in the morning. It’s also not as invasive as the nasal test, it uses saliva instead.
Probably not the cheapest way of doing it but seems like the least hassle and a nice way to start your holiday! Good luck either way and hope I could have helped.

Really keen to find a test with less than 48hr turn around time for our lovely Italian student to fly home for Christmas. Please help.

I had a Boots PCR test yesterday. They say they try to get the results back to you in 48 hours, but received the emailed results just shy of 24 hours.
