Willows farm pumpkin festival

From now until Halloween, Willows farm in Herts is celebrating with a pumpkin festival. it has all the same great attractions, but with a pumpkin mad theme. If you visit during the festival, every child gets to choose and pick a pumpkin from the huge pumpkin patch. there is decorating as well, with a contest at 3pm every day. And if you find all the pumpkin around the farm, your child gets a badge when you leave.

We went yesterday and had a lovely time. This farm is brilliant for under 10's!! There is a great farm shop as well, with wonderful food. A full day of fun and our kids were so exhausted that they went straight to bed!
Mean feat in our house.

Don't forget your wellies though, the pumpkin hunting is a bit messy!

Was it horrendously busy? Thinking of going sometime this week, but can't face it if it is really busy. Not to bothered about the pumpkin festival as such, as ds is a bit too young to appreciate that, just want to visit the usual things.

It was not too busy and we went at 1pm on Saturday afternoon on the first day of the festival.
It is so spread out that even when really busy it is okay. Only if you want the tractor ride will you have to wait.
I would suggest that if you go this week, go after lunch. Right before closing time is nice and quiet.

Thanks for the recommendation, looks a bit expensive but I'll show it to dh. Maybe as a treat...

the price is really off putting, i've been a few times and it's an ok day out. especially if you like small animals.

the food is bad though.
