  • go to the creek and hire a private abraa for an hour (costs about £15)
  • do a desert safari (great fun!)

  • go to Jumeira Mosque - they do a cultural visit on a Sunday (I think) - contact the Sheik Mohammed Cultural centre to book.

  • go to the wild wadi water park ... a must!

  • go to Ski Dubai (choose the hottest day!)

We went to all these things on a 9 day visit this Easter just gone ... with a 4 year old (we pretended he was 5 for the mosque visit)

Enjoy!

Forgot to mention that I am pregnant, so not sure about skiing and safari? Maybe I'll just shop till I drop.. Not literally!

I was also pg (17 weeks) when out there ... when we went on the desert safari, we told the driver, and he took it easy on the wadi bashing - it was fine ... then when we got to the camp, I didn't go on the camel - but ds and dh did, and loved it!

also, we didn't ski at Ski Dubai - you can just go into the play section - there's sledges and tyres and various different rides that your kids (and oh ) will love!

The only thing I didn't do was the Wild Wadi water park ... dh went there with ds.

We were staying with friends who live in Dubai, and they arragned a lot of the things for us.

Have a great time!

Thanks for advice ejt1764. I will also be 17 weeks and staying with friends who live there, (but haven't been there quite long enough to know what to do, especially with kids)!! Can you recommend any restaurants good for kids? x

You should go for an Indian at Ravis in Satwa, a eal eyeopener, they love kids and the kids will be mazed at the fabbric shops.
Also verandha at JB hotel is great, its pizza on the beach.
Tourist level culture is available at Bastikya Nigths, great fun all the tourists love it. You could go on one of the dining boats from the creek, just pick the one you like the look of.
Hard rock cafe is always a bit of a laugh for kids. Alternatively go to the Chalet on the Beach road. Prob a bbq on the beach, you an get all the stuf at a supermarket, the parks all have bbq areas.
DS loves sezzam in moe as it ovelooks the ski slope and has a magician.

If you need more let me know.

Enjoy, it isnt as bad as everyone makes out. I belevie its what you make it.
