Longhaul home swap Singapore - Belfast?

This is a pretty long shot and I'm not sure that I posted this in the right section.

We live in Singapore and are hoping to home swap with a family from Belfast for about 4 weeks next summer (July / August 2008).

We live in a 4 bed apartment with facilities (pool, tennis court, playgrounds), close to beach and swap would include car as well.

Singapore is a good base from which to explore South East Asia.

Failing which, I'd be grateful for tried and tested recommendations of home swap sites.

Thanks

Wow I would love that - not sure if my DH would fall for it though.

Shall I compile you a list of reasons to try and convince Mr Boo then?

Well for a start he would need to take extra time away from work (but then he was wanting to go to the Olympics, and they're nearer you than me!)
But, we're a bit out of the city - about 15mins drive - quaint village with good network of roads/buses etc

The Olympics are in China!!! That's a 6 hour flight away (but yes it IS a lot closer )

We don't really mind where we are as long as we are close to Belfast. We have family and friends in Belfast that we want to go and see but accommodation for a family of four for 4 weeks really adds up.

Hi Rojak - are you still interested? we have a lovely four bed house in great location.

Try this site its a really good one.

www.homebase-hols.com/

they have loads of people all over the world wanting to do house swaps and its a great way to holiday, at least you get seperate bedrooms (from the kids), a double bed, and a washing machine. Which in my opinion is a very good reason to home swap instead of paying hotel prices. if you get more than one offer, choose the one that has children of approximatly the same ages as yours and then you have all the relevent equipment on hand without transporting it halfway around the world. eg, cots, barbie dolls, footballs, playstations etc. etc.

Sorry, thought this thread had died a premature death and hadn't been checking back.
