4 hour plane flight with 3 yr old and 22 month old - what entertainment shall I take?

We're hoping to get a portable DVD player so I reckon I can kill an hour of the flight with that, plus another 30 mins with some stories, and another 30 mins with food.

What toys can I provide for the remaining two long long hours???

Sticker books! Cannot recommend them enough. Plus they don't make noise, so no glaring from other passengers.

Would 3 yr old play with an etch-a-sketch or a magna-doodle type thing? Great to keep them busy, but unlike crayons, you won't have to be constantly picking them up or trying to keep them from drawing on seats/trays.

Some airlines will also give you a little packet of things to keep them entertained, though your two may be a bit young yet.

Good luck- you will survive!
