Hi Merlin, I'm new to this so forgive me. I hope I'm not breaking any big rules before I've even started! I own & live at a gite in Southern Brittany, near Vannes. This is our first year & we've had little ones here all summer. I'm not going to tell you how fab it is, but I've got plenty of happy people coming back next year!! If you want to look at our website it's www.gitegorvello.com I hope it's okay to put that. Anyway, hope you find somewhere...Jenni

lapsedrunner · 23/10/2007 15:13

jenpet do you allow people to bring a dog?

jenpet · 23/10/2007 21:20

Hi Lapsedrunner,
Sorry, we do not allow dogs in the house, as it has fitted carpet in the upstairs bedrooms. We actually love dogs and there is a covered dry garage, but sadly cannot agree to animals in the house. Strangely, most people ask the other way round - "do you have any animals as we suffer with allergies" is asked many times!

Hi Jenpet

Have been away for half term so sorry haven't seen this.

The gite looks absolutely stunning! How lucky you are. However, I think we've decided that we really want a pool, but will keep you in mind.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Merlin,
Thanks for looking! I cannot think of anyone near us that I would personally recommend that has a pool - but a really good site, mainly used by owners is www.laymyhat.com all the owners on there really care about their properties, may be worth a look. We are in the UK for half term (and I wish I was back home because its rainy & miserable & busy!) Good luck anyway,
Best, Jenni

Jenpet, your gite looks gorgeous, but I'm really looking for somewhere with five (preferably six) bedrooms for next summer - would you be able to recommend anywhere? Sorry, sorry for hijack and for not coming to stay at your gite, which really does look divine!

jenpet · 02/11/2007 20:41

Hi HunkOLantern,
So sorry, been in the UK for 1/2 term, just got back today (loaded up with baked beans & stuffing!) If you wanted to be in Southern Brittany near the beaches the only place I would recommend near here are Steve & Sues gites - www.relaxcheznous.com they have 3 gites altogether, so you would perhaps have to take 2, but they are lovely, we stayed there when we were house hunting years ago & have kept in touch since...if you do book with them, mention us & come & see us too, we are about quarter of an hour from them & the kettle is always on!...good luck anyway.
