DH has to go for a few days for work in November/December and we were wondering about tagging on a family holiday.

We've done a lot of long haul before but not with the children. Would they recover from the jetlag and time difference in say 2 weeks to make it worthwhile? I know this topic has been touched on before but usually when mumsnetters have been visiting relatives and have them to help out at the other end. This would just be us...

We took our 2yo to Florida this summer. TBH we didn't suffer at all from jetlag whilst we were there. Too busy to worry about it! She also adored Disney and the parks, and had a magical time The flight was fine too. She slept part of the way and then played with toys, and wandered about the rest. She quite enjoyed watching (although not hearing so much as she wasn't keen on headphones) Shrek on the video too.

DH ad I had jetlag on return a bit but nottoo badly. Can't say I noticed DD suffering from it!

We are off to Florida with DS 10 mths - 5 weeks today - I can't wait - until I start worrying about jeg lag, the long plane journey (he has flown before). We are over there 25/11 - 10/12 - two weeks
