Hi,
We're going to Fowey in a few weeks, any tips on where to go? Where to eat? What to see?
thanks!

I take it that you’re going to the Eden Project? It’s so close!
Take the ferry to Polruan. It’s like stepping back in time and you get great views of Fowey. There’s also a stunning cliffside garden called Headland Garden (it was only open on Thursdays when we went). From Polruan, you can pick up the beautiful South West Coast Path at the end of School Lane. For the most part the trail hugs the edge of the cliffs and there are viewpoints marked by a bench or clearing.
Polperro Model Village is quite fun. The town of Polperro itself is also well worth a wander around.
Megavissey is a cute fishing village that wouldn’t look out of place on a vintage film and is worth a visit. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are close to Megavissey too. There are woodland walks, walled gardens, areas of dense jungle and tall bamboo, and an amazing (and tiny bit terrifying!) rope bridge!
The Ship Inn in Fowey is a higgledy-piggledy old building with lots of nooks and crannies and definitely not your average pub.
If you’re looking for a nice little cafe to stop at for lunch or a mid-afternoon snack and pick-me-up then the Lifebuoy Cafe and The Cornish Bakery get great reviews, and Pinky Murphy’s has been recommended to us (but was shut when we walked past).

Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth sculpture garden if they are open.
