Has just dawned on me that dd will want to do everything she used to before she went to school in the space of one week and I will have to drag poor ds round too, so it struc me that it might be an idea to start a thread of ideas, by location and who they are suitable for?! well, I'll need help, so though others might too?! (Yes, am new to the whole school hols bit!- Is it obvious?!) We are in York area, but don't mind doing a few days out etc.

Good idea H4C!
My fav site for finding things to do is IdeasForTheKids. They cover the whole of the UK and have just revamped the site with an option to look for dated events. Doesn't look like there's anything in that bit yet(!!!) but the normal search is packed full of great ideas.

Another useful place to check is your local city or county council website. There's usually an entertainment or tourism section which can be very good if the council has its act together.

Good luck and fingers crossed for decent weather!
