def take floaty stuff, actually when we did something similar, we bought little plastic life jacket things.

And went to Matalan and bought cheepie uva suits 3 , she lived in them, only getting dressed to go out.

That n used to go to Cyprus in October as had family there so have learnt what to take. The life jackets were a boon when DGD was little, s kept in on most of the time outside and I felt I could relax a bit.

Even in October take a factor 50 suncream as well.

And have fun.

as for the trip, I have aever sleeping DGD on flights

its still in then 80 s at the moment, sister going to her place next week, when i go i try and take as many things as poss, wetwipes, nappies etc as everything is so much more expensive than here, i am only travelling with one though. if you are in a villa it will have a washer , this year, for 3 weeks dd had 3 outfits on, she was in pool all the time and had no clothes on for days only if we went out to dinner.which part you going to? we go near to larnaca, lots of big supermarkets and the big towns everything stays open. you will definately need a car.will be cooler in evenings so take a cardi. next year im taking all my baggage allowance in dried goods.

hifi · 12/10/2007 19:28

is dp going with you? the flight is about 4.5 so abit longer than mallorca and found dd getting restless after about 3 hours, she 3 yrs old.colouring books, little pots of play doh, dvd if you can manage it.also when you land dont stand behind the loads of russian holidaymakers at passport control, they have to fill forms in, theres a separate line for us, cant remember what its called though.we wizz through a lot quicker than them.

Hmmm, looks likelifejackety things are a good idea then, thx megsdaughter. Will take high factor sunscreen. And taking on board that they will hardly be in ?clothes?, will take high factor swim tops for older boys to live in most of the time.. and shorts ditto. And v little in way of clothes. Will use washing machine. 2 pairs pyjamas each in case of mishaps? don?t mind going to supermarket but will take enough wipes nappies for first 3 days to find feet.

Is peyia hills hifi? which is on sw coast I think? yes, we have car booked. Dp is coming on the flight, and we?re even taking our nanny, so I have plenty of support for the flight but am still alarmed at thought of pent up kids on 4.5 hour flight? wish id booked a cottage in cornwall now! Hopefully will feel differently when there
Do they allow little pots of playdoh on flight then? And will the crew not hate me if it gets ground in to seats/carpet etc?

Thanks for tips peeps ? like I say, all welcome.
