DH says boat fuel taxes are coming, will this affect cruise prices?

DH sent me this today. He works on rigs and said this will affect all kinds of things. Hes away a lot so we go on a cruise once a year for our holidays. I know with covid and everything prices will be low but if theyre putting taxes on boat fuel will this mean theyll go up?

Ships use Heavy oil when at sea and burn clearer fuels near port, heavy oil has less tax on it.
The article you quote mentions by 2030 and 2050 so I wouldn't be concerned.
I doubt cruises will be up and running any time soon though, lets hope I am wrong as we are missing ours
