Vaccinations needed for Dominican Republic?

I am going to Dominican Republic in June and want to know which injections I need. Bearing in mind, I have a phobia of needles so the fewer injections, the better!

Also, how much do they cost as I have spoken to my Drs and they are quoting me around £150 and I think it was 5 or injections (one of the injections is free of charge)

I had 2 injections when I last went there 9 years ago and paid £10 for both. I was a little shocked when they gave me that price!

is it just for a holiday? dh and i went there a few yrs ago, didn't get injections at all.

I like the sound of that!
I am going for 2 weeks and staying in a 5 star hotel. But obviously don't want to get ill while there. Also be taking my DC, they will be 9 and 6.
I had a tetanus a couple of years ago so wouldn't need that, but not covered for anything else. Just seems a lot of money and a big pain for someone with a needle phobia!

Are you going to check if you need any injections?
I wonder if the Dr has recommended all those injections because we have to pay £35 per jab?
I don't know if they expect me to pay for the kids or not.

Went a few years ago and were told that we didn't need any if staying in resort.

Here's the NHS website on travel, for further up-to-date info.

Thanks, I will do my best to avoid the injections now. I was worried that we had to have them, but it doesn't look that way, thankfully.
