Any suggestions for toys to amuse my 22 month old daughter on a 12 hour plane trip?
Have seen the ELC travel scribbler and that's a possible. Any other suggestions gratefully received - am dreading the journey....

playdough, stickers, new books - wrap them up for your little dd, more exciting!

what age do they like to wrap things up as you could just take a whole bunch of sellotape and some paper and wrap and unwrap some of the other toys you have packed.

This past August we packed a little backpack for our 18 month old ds with small toys, his favourite books, and snacks (cereals, fruit bars, etc.) We only pulled it out when he got tired of running up and down the aisles (he didn't sleep for the whole 8 hours!) Good luck!

Thanks guys,
Good suggestions which I will follow. Skerriesmum - I have a feeling my dd will be doing a similar journey to your ds. Thanks for the good luck!!!
I may just resort to getting quietly pi**ed and letting dh deal with it all.....

Despite my misgivings, DH just bought a portable DVD for our recent holiday, and I must admit, it really made a difference on the flights and also at over-tired-but-can't-rest moments in the hotel. We splurged on a couple of new DVDs of DD's favorites, so there was something new to watch. Together with toys and cheerios and some nap time(!?), that might do the trick.

Hey lyndap! Just got one of those scribbler/etch-a-sketch things for my dd and is a monster hit. Def recommend it, though cleaning the screen makes a noise which your fellow passengers might not appreciate . Ours is from mothercare and has animal shaped magnets which give more entertainment for putting them back in the correct place.

Good luck, you'll get plenty of excercise running up and down the aisles!! But still very jealous of the sun you'll get and margaritas you'll neck!
