Ideas for holiday in November with 4 month old baby

Hello, I've just joined Mumsnet, and would love some advice on where to take our dd on holiday for a week in Nov. We've not travelled with her before (other than to the parents) so a bit nervous.

We're looking for
Sun (but not too hot)
Max 4 or 5 hours flying time (ideally), and a short transfer when we get there
Ideally self catering (ie with a washing machine!)
A bit of culture / places to visit
A pool

We've never been on a package holiday before as myself and dh enjoy independent travel and diving, but we are happy to compromise now.

Any ideas?

How about Lanzarote. There are some nice villas to rent with pools in the Playa Blanca area and if you hire a car there is plenty to see.

It's a nice, easy destination and Playa Blanca is 30 mins from the airport.

Other than that, you could have a look at Club Med in Tunisia. It won't be self catering but will have every facility that you need for your daughter as well as activities like sailing, tennis etc for yourselves. I'm just not too sure if it will be hot enough.

Failing that there is always Egypt but I'd imagine you'd need to be totally hotel based.

Thanks for the suggestions. The Villa in France looks wonderful - will consider that for next year.
Has anyone been to Morocco with a young baby. Would breastfeeding be a problem there?
