Vilanova i La Geltru - Oct 07 - anyone been?

We're staying in a chalet thingy in Vilanova Park and am looking for reassurance. Will it be warm (its near Sitges, if that helps) eg swimming outside weather?

IMO it will be a bit too cold to swim outdoors. Autumms in the Mediterranean are normally mild but lately very umpredictable... A tornado swift through Palma de Mallorca last week and various areas of Palma have declared a "catastrophe area".

Sure it won't happen in Vilanova!

Not much to do really around there...but you can visit lovely vineyards in the Sant Sadurni area- Codorniu, Freixenet, that;s an excellent day out where you can sample the excellent cavas! Also Barcelona is just a 30 minute drive if you get bored of where you are...

Thanks for vineyard tips - hadn't thought of that - we'll have an indoor pool so hopefully we'll just hang out, play, and make a few day trips. I first went to Montserrat when I was 4 and I'm looking forward to imprinting the same bizarre geographic memories on my kids!
