West London Mums can you help? Would like to visit Hampton Court

We would like to visit Hampton Court and the surrounding area for a winter weekend. Can you recommend a local hotel very close to Hampton Court and the river? TIA.

Also any family friendly restaurants (ours are 9 and 6).

I think they rent out appartments at Hampton Court itself - may be worth checking out.

The Lion Gate hotel is right opposite one of the gates to Hampton Court and also at the entrance to Bushy Park (so you might get a room overlooking Bushy Park and the deer etc.). I've not stayed there but I know they have redone their restaurant as we got their menu through the door the other day! I've not stayed there but in walking distance from the hotel there is a fantastic playground (that would be suitable for your kids) and a skate park a bit further away.

I think there's an ice-rink at Hampton Court over the winter season so you might catch that as well.
