Idontwant2 · 31/08/2020 12:20

We are looking at Tenerife for July/August 2021 in the costa Adeje area.

Has anybody been? Can suggest good hotels to stay in?

It will be 2 adults, DD16 & DS4. We want to be near bars, restaurants and with easy access to get to Siam park, mount teide etc....

Any suggestions welcome please

Iberostar Bouganville Playa is a good hotel for teens - there’s a club for 13 - 17 year olds and activities like archery, aqua gym and watersports. It also happens to be within walking distance of Siam Park!

The Bahia Principe in Costa Adeje is lovely if you are fine being around a 15 minute walk from separate restaurants. There is a number of al a carte restaurants on site though too (Brazilian, Asian, Spanish and Italian from memory)

Or there is also the Hard Rock hotel which may appeal to teens and is closer to the town

Is that the Bahia principe sunlight costa Adeje, in playa pariso? Have looked at the one if so.

Will take a look at the hard rock hotel aswell.

Thank you

We stayed at the Iberostar Anthelia when DS was younger. It's a lovely hotel and seemed to have quite a lot of activities.

GF Victoria is really lovely. We have been three times, we've just come back from a 5 week stay.

They have lots to do for children. There's a water park, a surf pool, a family spa which you can privately book and a great kids club for younger ones.

Walking distance to everything you need and situated in the more exclusive side of Adeje.

There is a free bus that operates all over Adeje that goes to Siam Park. Tiede is a bit of a trek from Adeje, you'd be best hiring a car or booking a tour. You can also charter a yacht out of Los Gigantes which is up the coast and go whale watching and snorkelling (we used Third Element and it was excellent).

Thank you for the info, we’ve never been before so great to hear real life experiences

What was it like over there
I’m going next month but we stay in pdla

BuggeredItUpAgain · 24/09/2020 09:24

Another vote for GF Victoria - really good location, great rooms, decent food and the water park is a massive bonus.

spinningirl10 · 24/09/2020 09:31

GF Victoria is lovely, the rooms are fantastic but pricey.
GF grand costa Adeje is excellent and only 5 minutes from the Victoria.
Jacaranda Hotel is close by and is good for families. Shops, restaurants and beaches all close by.
Hard Rock hotel is very nice but there is nothing else in that area, it's a bus ride or car to Siam Park and restaurants/beaches.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 24/09/2020 09:38

Another vote for Bahia Principe - have stayed there a few times. Lovely hotel.

I was booked for Hard Rock Hotel in August but obviously didn't get there. Looks fab for teens and my 17 year old was very excited.

It was fine, a few places were closed and it was quieter than normal but we felt very safe. We went to Aqualand, Siam Mall and out to restaurants, there wasn't the usual buzz around the place but we were just happy to be there.

The airport on the way home was empty, hardly anything was open. Just the duty free and the coffee shop at the front of the food area.

@PoopySalata

Having a great time
Shocked at how many hotels are still closed
But everything is fab and everyone is just waiting for us all to return

The Hard Rock is amazing but it's in Playa Paraiso which is a separate resort from Adeje and about a 10-15 minute drive away.

GF Victoria is spectacular but pricey so depends on your budget. Otherwise GF Costa Adeje Gran & Meliá Jardines del Teide are both good, but less to amuse your teen.

For a lower budget there is the Jacaranda and GF Fanabe. Both have a lots of facilities.

Definitely don't miss Siam Park. I'm not even a fan of water parks usually and I love it there Smile

GettingTooOldForThis · 26/10/2020 20:49

Baobab Suites are brilliant you get your own pool or hot tub too

Hi, sorry for jumping on a thread but we booked Hard rock at the weekend for August. It's 2 adults and 2 DD's 11 & 9 and we are staying all inclusive. So you have stayed and liked it? It's pretty pricey so hope we've made the right choice 😃

Hard rock is in a horrible location imho, sorry. It is on its own, and you cannot really walk to anywhere from it. If you want to be centrally located for things costa adeje is the best area. In terms of hotels prices vary vastly.

I'm just going to be happy if we get to go and we'll mostly spend it in the hotel which looks amazing. As long as we have a nice beach to go to I'm happy just having a week of sun, relaxation and a pool for the kids to enjoy. We can get a taxi to the water park if they don't do a bus.
