Central Canterbury then its Adobe, (formally the County Hotel) but, in all honestly there are not many nice places to stay in either Canterbury or Margate, unless you go to the outside villages.

bummer, i sort of gather that by all the google searches.... isn't sad? I want to visit many main UK landmarks for various reasons and the conclusion is that the B&B business in the UK is in very bad shape!!!

If you drive there are loads of lovely b and b's around, I would recommend that you ring Canterbury's tourist informatuion, they would be able to recommend a b and b with the star rating you want ... the number is 01227 378100 I know that they can recommend as the Tourist Information in York did this for me just last week!! I asked for a b and b within 5 miles of York which was 4 star rated and they emailed me 7!
