Tenerife Airbnb Feb 2021

Have itchy feet and looking at holidays. I am mad to book Airbnb and separate flights to Tenerife for next Feb half term? I have only used Airbnb in the UK. Slightly nervous of booking things separately in case they all need to be cancelled. Airbnb place looks as if you can cancel and get full refund up until one week before arrival. It's the more expensive flights that worry me. Is now the right tone to book flights? Or is there a cheaper time? Thanks in advance if you can help me decide Blush

February and March are the coldest and wettest months to go to Tenerife. I think you should consider another destination.

Friends go in Feb half term and say it's about 20 degrees? Don't want scorching heat and not too long a flight. Have been round in circles thinking of where to go.

I think many people will have same idea as you - hence the cost of flights, plus Tenerife is a popular winter destination.

If the flights are with Jet 2 they might go down, hard to say for Easyjet or Ryan Air.

We've had lovely weather in Tenerife for Feb half term. However, personally I would be wary of sudden lockdowns anywhere in the world until the vaccine is in wide use, so wouldn't be spending on flights unless I could afford to lose the money/quarantine on return. You might be OK, but it will be a bit of a gamble in 2021

EasyJet flights can be changed free of charge up to 14 days in advance.

We had an AirBnB booked earlier in the year which we had to cancel and the refund came through without any issues. Getting the money back from EasyJet was more hassle but Rookie is right, as long as travel restrictions remain, EasyJet flights can be rearranged free of charge (if that happens to be who you’re looking at flying with!). Flights tend to get more expensive the longer you leave it typically (but 2020 is a bit of an exceptional year so who knows!).
