Holiday help kos

Hello we are looking to go to kos. Does anyone know what it's like there at this moment with everything going on?

We just don't want to have to quarantine when we get back. Does anyone know what the current situation is?

It's an island so if Greece goes under the list of quarantining will it exclude the island

Greece not currently included in quarantine requirement on return to UK, but numbers increasing rapidly so expect it will be soon.
I would think islands would be included as they were for Spain.

You might be lucky, but Kos for those dates seems likely to end in quarantine.

Thank you for your reply. Hubby is a police officer and can't afford to quarantine I'm desperate to go away. We haven't booked yet. Do you know where would be the safest place to go apart from my back garden lol

I'm looking to go away myself at that time and there are no really safe bets at the minute.

Germany and Italy don't look too bad, but Italy will be absolutely baking and Germany not an obvious holiday destination.

Unfortunately it's really difficult to know as it's so driven by daily infection numbers. If quarantine is a major concern I wouldn't look to book anything until middle of next week to know what the position is.

Alternatively can you fly/drive as far south as you can in Uk ?

A friend is in Kos at the moment and said it's quiet, the Greeks themselves are very frustrated about the British media portrayal of things and a statement was put out tonight explaining the numbers are still low and the British media are hyping it up. I'm going to Corfu next week all being well.

Police are exempt from quarantine
