Maastricht next July

Myself and my partner are going for a long weekend in Maastricht next July.

We're going by train from St Pancras

Does anybody know what we will need in the way of travel documents? Or are we jumping the gun a bit and we should wait until after December to find out?!

Thanks in advance for any advice

A valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date you expect to return home.

You have to always carry ID with you in NL (driving license will do). Just a heads up. I don't expect a visa to be necessary for the EU but check a month beforehand.

Have fun!

Thank you for your replies, very useful and good to know we won't need visas!

Maastricht is such a lovely spot. I hope you enjoy the visit.

Not sure about travel documents, but Brexit will be well and truly done and dusted by then, so free movement might be an issue but I don't know the ins and outs.

Do visit the Vrightof, and stroll across the bridge. Lovely place.
