Is it worth going ?

We were due to go Canary Island on 03 Aug but now cant, due FCO's advice against non essential travel. I had booked the flights and accommodation on 25 July and the advice came in place on 27th( bad luck) so we wont be eligible for any refund or change of dates ( I have checked already).
Part of me wants to go because I Know Canary Island would be much safer than East London's and the COVID cases are significantly lower than London, but I know our travel insurance wont cover us.
We are a family of 4, kids over 12 yrs.
What would you do ?

What would you do if you got stuck in a local or regional lock down?

That's true, it will be a massive issue.

I know I will get blasted for this but we are due to go to the canaries on the same date as you. We are still going to go (as long as flights don't get cancelled) we have found insurance that will still cover us and we are able to quarantine on our return. We are staying with family so less of a problem if we have to stay in if there were to be a local lockdown.

Thanks lostinthoughts. May I ask who is your insurance provider? Someone has kindly advised Battlefield, I am going to look into it tomorrow.
