Travelling from Heathrow

We are travelling from heathrow this weekend. Does anyone have experience of it? We are going from Terminal 5. Is it really busy and are there long queues? Our flight is early morning. Thanks

Also is there food places open?

There are a few. I think Prets is open and Plane Food.

T5 has got a bit busier in the last week or so, it's certainly not always empty anymore. Don't cut timing fine on the assumption it will be deserted (of course having said that no doubt you'll breeze through).

I need to have a think about specific food outlets, as Mrs Schandenfreude says some are open.

We got through Heathrow but it was v busy. We had to queue fir almost an hour to check in but security was fast. Most food shops were open but not WH Smith. Flight was full!
