Passport question

I applied for mine and my daughters first passports, had a skype interview yesterday and received an email a few hours later stating that they were both being printed then last night i received an email that mine had been sent.
I had a note on my application as im due to travel in 8 days but now im paranoid my daughters wont be here on time.

My question is how long does it normally take from being printed to posted to then being received?

A couple of days normally. I think I had the printing email one day, the posted email the following day, and it was either the next day or the one after that when it arrived. Passports go through a special delivery service. You should be fine, even though you've run things a little tight.

Thanks, i applied in April, i figured even with the pandemic we would have plenty of time. So pleased it looks like it will get here in time
