Anyone renewed a child's passport

Recently and how long did it take

I did my adult renewal and it came back in just over 3 weeks. I will be doing my child’s renewal next week.

I send my DS’s off the week before lockdown and it took about 3.5 months to come back.

Sent my daughter's end of June and it was back within 3 weeks. Weird, almost black, blue colour. The online system was very easy for photo ID.

I did my DDs online. I'm in the south east of England but it told me to send the old passport to the Belfast office. It took about 3 weeks from start to finish and I recieved the new one last week.

About 18 days. Just before lockdown. Sent from Italy to the UK via online system.

Renewed DD’s last month and it was all back within a fortnight.

Actually it was the beginning of this month - just checked my emails. Mine went to Glasgow if that makes any difference.

Yes, sent off end of June and it came back 3 weeks later.

I did have a minor panic - sent it special delivery and so I knew when it arrived but it took them a week to book it into their system. But once after that it was very quick.

Did mine recently - 1 week from email saying they'd received it. Had same email last Friday for my youngest's so will see. But all pretty fast.

Sent mine 3 June and had it back 9 July. I did chase in various ways though (twitter, email to local MP as I read that helps) as we were travelling 10 july. Something worked!

I sent DS renewal this morning.

Applied for child renewals online and posted their old passports on 6th July. One new passport was received 17th July, the other on 27th July.

No idea why the delay for the second one as they went to the same office (Glasgow) in the same envelope. I have heard that some offices are working much faster than others.
