Paying with cash?

Does anyone know what the current situation is regarding paying in cash in Amsterdam and Berlin at the moment? Mostly shops and eating out as pretty much everything else has been prebooked and paid for. I do have a credit card I can use but I usually use cash on holiday. Thanks

No one in Amsterdam or Berlin?

Not there at the moment.
Normally Berlin is a cash-based economy, with EC cards sometimes being easier to use than Visa/Mastercard debit cards. Credit cards aren't popular - and are usually not accepted by smaller shops, cafes and restaurants, and only grudgingly accepted where they are. I usually use cash in Berlin for 99% of things.

Thanks, yes I'd read that online. I was wondering if, as a result of the pandemic, retailers were more reluctant to accept cash payments.
