Lewis and Harris

Looking to do a staycation at the end of July and want to go to Lewis and Harris. There will be three of us. Does anyone have any accommodation ideas? Ideally self catering. Air BnB's are few and far between.

Check out visitouterhebrides.co.uk for accommodation. Please though also be aware that calmac ferries are operating a reduced timetable with substantially fewer passengers. You can only book your ferry 2 wèeks in advance.

I saw that re the ferries, thank you! It's proving tricky to organise as a result x

We considered this. We didn’t do it as we were told that islands don’t want tourists this year. Specifically they are going to try to lock the islands down. Most have had no COVID so you can see the fear and why they may feel hostile. Hosts were positive of course.
Holiday stays in Scotland as a whole haven’t yet been opened up and may not.

If you use Facebook there is a public group called "Isle of Harris self catering" that is useful for making enquiries about accommodation availability etc.
