Group holiday to Jamaica with young kids...

Hi,

Family celebration coming up next year, either May or June, there will be about 25 of us altogether traveling out to Jamaica.

Within the group there’ll be a couple of 12 year olds, 3 year old, 24 month old, 20 month old and 11 month old (It feels stressful even typing that!)

Looking for a really family friendly hotel (Negril is out. Transfer time is too far) Somewhere that will make life easier for those of us with really young kids. Particularly worrying about milk/food for 11 month old.

To be extra awkward, it can’t be too family friendly whereby there’s no decent bars/entertainment for the adults who aren’t parenting young children.

Any suggestions? Also, any tips for traveling long haul with 11 month old appreciated... how to acclimatise them to Jamaica’s time, should bottled water be readily available etc...?

I've been to the Caribbean many times, I've never felt enormously safe in Jamaica during the time that we've been there. Do you need to go there?
St Lucia and Antigua are both lovely.
I've always just taken baby milk/powder away on holiday as you never know what's available. I've also not found that the children are less able to acclimatise than the adults once you arrive, although we did have two horrendous night flights home where a child would not sleep.

We went to jewel runaway bay with our then two year old. They had movies night for kids so that you could dine without them. They’ve also added a water park since we were last year. We walked 10 minutes to the local shops for nappies etc several times, never had any bother or felt unsafe.

We love Jamaica, went 3 years ago, booked for next year and amended our October holiday this year to go as we feel safe and content with our chosen hotel.

Grand palladium Lady Hamilton. It's just outside Montego Nay in Lucea. Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff. The Grand Palladium group is outstanding regardless (also stayed in their Mexico Rivera Maya, Dominican Punta Cana and Ibiza resorts. With and without my daughter. In a smaller and big group. Couldn't fault any of them. They are rather big too.

Jamaica is a Zika area so hopefully none of you will be pregnant or TTC at the time of the trip or soon after!
