Hi,
I am hoping someone can help.....

Does anyone know if they have Dolphins?
DD2 is doing a project on Dolphins and has asked if she can go and see some. Website dosn't specify Dolphins. I sent an Email 2 days ago to ask the question and no response....

Have any MN's been and can they remember seeing Dolphins?

Thank-you

I know the main dolphinarium in brighton closed down. I also know that there's a campaign to stop another one reopening:

Dolphins in Captivity

My understanding was that dolphin shows in this country had mostly gone the way of the animals in circuses... I've seen sealion shows at various places, but no dolphins since when I was small.

Find a seaside place that does boat tours out to where dolphins are known to be? (of course, probably more pricey!)

thanks for that Rubberduck - after I posted I was surfing the web and had come to the conclusion that dolphns in captivity were a no-no!

It's a shame isn't it - I remember adoring going to see the Dolphinarium when I was little.

But having read what conditions were like for them and knowing what intelligent creatures they are, I am rather glad knowing that it was closed down

Where abouts are you? There seem to be a few boat trip places in Pembrokeshire - but the one I'm looking at is £55 per adult and £30 per child ... not a cheap day out.
