Who is planning to go abroad in Oct half-term?

We have a credit from BA for cancelled Easter flights. The credit voucher can apparently be used up until April 2022, so there is no hurry to re-book, but DH and I are debating re-booking for Oct. BA have cut a lot of their routes for the rest of this year, so many places in Europe that we'd like to go are not served by BA until next spring. We could go to Cyprus though, which is somewhere we've been twice before and really liked. So is anyone else taking a punt on Oct? We won't book anything until the govt's list of 'green' destinations is published on Weds, but hopefully Cyprus will be on the list.

We rebooked our Easter Italy holiday for October half-term, but it was cancelled way back in early March, before the UK had even gone into lock down, and at the time, I thought the whole thing would have blown over by now.

I'm regretting rebooking now - I'm just not sure all of this will be over by October. If I were you I would sit it out, unless there's a deadline for getting your money back, in which case I'd take the refund. Otherwise, do your research, choose 2 or 3 possibles for accommodation etc and assume in the back of your mind that you're going to Cyprus, but don't actually book it until the week before?

Not sure I have an idea of what I want to spend and where I would like to go (Majorca) but going to see what everything is like come early October (including weather as if UK looks better staycation)

It's all too uncertain isn't it? I'd dearly love to have a break in the Med planned as I daydream of scrubby hills, turquoise sea and cocktails in the sunshine, but every day seems to bring more uncertainty (yesterday it was Leicester locking down again, today it's that Greece have banned Brits for a further two weeks). Ho hum. I think we have no option but to wait it out for now.

Where are you due to go in Italy @astuz? I love Italy.
