I know this is probably a daft question but does Spain govern Tererife ? The reason why I am asking is I am watching the news unfold on possible travel opening up to uk tourists and I wasn;t sure if the Canaries were in effect Spain or not! Can anyone advise please?

The Canary Islands are part of Spain, but sometimes has different laws, eg taxes on alcohol and tobacco.

As far as air bridges, quarantine etc is concerned, I would always check that rules that apply to 'Spain' do include the place that you are interested in visiting, because I'm sure if they wanted to apply different restrictions to the Canaries, or the Balearics for that matter, it would be legally possible to do so.

As above - yes, but they do have their own rules too.

I follow a Lanzarote page for visitors- that's quite useful for keeping up to date with current regulations.

There will be some pages for Tenerife too.

Oh - I follow the pages on Facebook. Didn't make that clear.

Thank you will check that out!
