Easyjet flights booked through Expedia are now cancelled, but neither want to refund us!!!

I phoned expedia, they said even though the flight is cancelled thru need easyjet to inform them so they can refund us.
When I tried to arrange refund through easyjet manage my booking, it says if you booked through expedia go through them. Tried phoning easyjet, impossible to speak to anyone, also virtual chat can't get through.
Flights paid by debit card, booked ages ago.
Am really fed up with this.

I thought debit card purchases offered similar protection to credit cards these days. What has your bank said?

They said I need to speak to my travel provider. And the travel provider said speak to easyjet.... Who aren't answerphone or emails or live chat...
