Official Spanish travel advice

Can anyone direct me to some up to date, official advice regarding traveling to Spain late July/early august?
We have flights booked with easyJet and staying in rented apartment when we get there.
For the last month or so we’d written it off as never going to happen but now in some ways it looks possible.
I just can’t find any definite advice apart from people saying ‘ I can’t see it happening...quarantine etc... what about crowded planes...’
I can’t be the only one looking for actual answers?!

I'm in the same boat as you! We are supposed to go on the 18th July.

Currently Spain are not allowing visitors / tourists from the UK which will remain under review. So unclear when they might allow us in.

I'm going to watch this thread too in the same boat as the rest of you hoping to go out on the 23rd July!

Immigrantsong · 07/06/2020 16:50

I am following as on the same boat. Due to travel late August and I am dreading it tbh.

MimosaFields · 15/06/2020 20:38

Spain is allowing some tourists in from 21st June, and more from 1st July.

We are due to travel to Majorca on 23rd July. Flights still showing as available (much cheaper than we paid 🙄)
Villa with shared (but not by many-we usually have it to ourselves) pool when we get there. I’m still hoping we can go...

The FCO are currently still advising against all but essential international travel. If you do travel, please ensure that your insurance is still valid as some companies will not insure you while the FCO advice remains like this

Friedbed · 18/06/2020 12:26

I’ve checked my insurance. Luckily I bought it on the 10th March and the terms changed on the 12th. As long as (and obv it’s still an if at the moment) the fco changes advice to allow for no essential travel we are covered.

Surely if hotels etc are opening up in Uk from July 4th, travel abroad won’t be far behind?

We are due to fly to Spain early August. I am very wary about going. I don't want any of us to be ill abroad. We would be covered. Ideally I would like to cancel but our travel insurance says we have to wait and see what the situation is 28 days before we are due to fly. This is then too late to cancel kennels etc. I can see we are either going to have to risk going or lose the money. It's just the flight I am scared of. Wish we were driving somewhere!!

Spike2020 · 24/06/2020 22:47

I believe that Staysure and trailfinders are offering Coronavirus cover in their insurance policies now subject to the travel ban being lifted. We have our insurance with stay sure for a pre COVID booked holiday and it now states that we will get emergency medical cover for coronavirus whilst on holiday, but no cancellation cover I believe. Not sure what the trail finder one offers as not booked with them.

May be worth exploring and checking the cover levels to make sure covered.

Some peace of mind perhaps

I’m pretty resigned to not going now. I don’t want to have to wear masks on the beach and I have slight worries about getting ill or stuck there.
Going to wait until 14 days before and then decide whether to try to swap the flights or take the risk of hoping they cancel

MimosaFields · 27/06/2020 16:02

I'm flying to Spain next Sunday. I'm not looking forward to the flight but I'm not worried about the rest. Wearing a mask in the heat won't be comfortable though. I would not go now if I could avoid it
