Tunisia - Sousse/PEK/Mahdia?

We're not newbies to the country but it's been almost a decade since we last went, and considerable things have changed - I now use a wheelchair and DP is blind. We're both early-40s and would be taking DD(21).

Any thoughts welcome, any experience of the areas mentioned with regard to disability even more so.

We aren't sun gods but prefer experiencing culture. I'd love to go to Dougga but methinks a wheelchair makes that near impossible.

I haven't been for years either I'm afraid but Port El Kantoui was lovely. Reasonable transfer time from the airport, and I can't see any reason you couldn't manage with a wheelchair there.

Is PEK not more of a party scene now? I have recent experience, loved Hammamet and can very cheaply hire a private driver with minibus to take you very comfortably on day trips to Tunis, Sidi bu Said, Kairouran etc, so seeing loads of the culture. If you are a wheelchair user there are some adapted minibuses.
