I know, I know- no body actually has a crystal ball to tell but what do you think the chances of flying out in the first week of July??
I don't want to go as the area we are heading to has been badly effected by COVID19, but obvs the flights haven't been cancelled yet.

Does anyone know how much notice the airlines are giving people when they do cancel?

Looking on the company website they aren't booking any flights till sept.

I really can't face going.

I don't think so, wouldn't go then myself and wonder if you'd be covered by travel insurance.

Been reading the policy with a magnifying glass😉 lots of double speak. But one bit says if you are needing to quarantine then we are covered, but also says not covers 'threat of' pandemic...
We have an annual policy that has been in place since last aug.
Ugh... I just wish we could be sure now.

Same boat here - due to fly to New York start of July. Heard nothing from BA, flights still showing on my booking.
Paid 2 nights accommodation as a deposit on credit card. Am hoping to be able to claim back on AMEX but can’t until flights are cancelled.
All very frustrating.

The situation seems to be changing very quickly each day which is good for everything else.
If the gov/foc still says non essential travel not allowed then surely the flights will be cancelled ?? My insurance confirms if I travel against FOC then I won't be covered

The situation in Europe looks to be easing up relatively quickly

BA tend to start cancelling flights about 2-3 weeks prior to departure.

I cannot see President Trump lifting the travel ban on UK, Irish or other European citizens entering the US anytime soon.
