Will holidays to Greece go ahead this summer?

I'm booked to go to Rhodes in July, with my 3 children. The holiday was booked through Loveholidays.
I don't think it will go ahead. Ex husband says there's a strong chance it will, as Greece has so few cases of CV.
This to me would seem a good reason to keep us out, but he maintains Greek tourism will resume.
I feel anxious by the uncertainty, as there is so much I'd have to sort out this end before departing, if it does go ahead.
So who is right?

Well, if you are prepared to quarantine for 14 days when you come back, go for it.

I genuinely don't know what to do. I can't afford to lose all the money, and in some ways would prefer a refund, or rebook for next year. But what if the government advice is that we CAN travel? Of course I can't go into quarantine for 2 weeks on our return. Real life makes that impossible. But what if the travel company don't see that as a good enough reason to refund?

Don't cancel - you'll lose all your money.
Wait & see. If travel is still not advised, you can get a refund.
I would not accept a re-booking - the future is very uncertain.

What would you do if you ended up in hospital in Greece? I’ve been there. In Zante and I can tell you they are not pleasant places. Even the dr who saw me said I didn’t want to be admitted.

Greek hospitals are generally of a very high standard (or at least, about the same as here!) but I'd have a google for what's available in Rhodes. I'd imagine it's fine, but some of the islands don't have a major hospital and people travel if they require specialist treatment.

Greece have said they want the tourism industry to resume in July. Restaurants etc are opening now. It might go ahead from Greece's end, but there could still be a need to quarantine on return.

Although why you'd need to quarantine from a place that's had 0.4% of our Covid deaths I can't say

They said by 1st of July if all goes well. No details but I assume that R should be as it is now and there will be a form of agreement between Greece and the countries that will allow their citizens to travel, from EU mostly.

Gimme, I spent 12 hours in hospital in Zante. The standard was poor. The porters were smoking in their room inside the hospital. 3 years go this summer.

Greece’s ministry of Tourism announced on Friday a list of 29 countries that are relatively safe from coronavirus and can send tourists to Greece starting on June 15.

The Greek government will consider lifting the ban on citizens of other countries based on what it considers the success of pandemic control in each nation. Authorities say that the list of 29 countries will be expanded on or after July 1.
Currently, flights from the USA, UK, Russia, Italy, Spain, France and Brazil into Greece are banned.

You could spend a full day exploring Rhodes Old Town. Visit the Palace of the Grand Masters, Street of the Knights of St John's and the Grand Mosque. Then walk around Mandraki Harbour and view the ancient windmills and the harbour entrance where the colossus of Rhodes once stood.
You could get a bus to Lindos where the Acropolis is but I would not recommend going up there with your children. There is a lovely church just inside the village called the Church of the Panaghia which is worth a visit and also the ancient amphitheatre. Another historic site is at Kamiros Scalla but you would need a car, or you can check out taxi prices rhodes greece.
Though I have not yet been to Rhodes, I think that taking the kids is a great idea. You must know that it will cause some inconvenience but it will instantly open the hearts of the Greeks and make you a welcome guest.
