Toying with taking DD but

a) don't want to spend an absolute fortune
b) don't want to spend 2 days queueing in the rain

On the other hand 5YO dd might absolutely love it!

Thoughts please

queues wont be too bad and you can get fast pass on most rides anyway

We did December. It was a bit chilly and unfortunately it was that drizzly rain the whole time. As long as you 'layer up' you'll be fine. DD was 7 when we took her, I think and she was wearing tights and socks and long sleeved t-shirts and jumpers. TBH, the weather didn't bother us at all, there's too much going on to worry. They have fake snow that falls every half hour or so too, along Main Street. Tis magical!

We are going the first weekend in December. Have been advised that (cheap) ski wear is very handy to keep little ones warm and dry all day.

ski wear excellent idea. get yourself to H&M if you have one, i got dd some lovely bits last season and really reasonable

I absolutely hate Disney, but at Xmas with the Xmas parades and the fake snow (yes, really) your DD will adore it. Took our 2, 2 yrs on the trot. Last time was 4 years ago and they still talk about it.

We have taken ours last weekend in november and first weekend in december as they get a long weekend from school. Once it was very cold, but not the other. Was some rain (but not as much as we had this August!) and it was very christmassy. An advantage with little ones is that as it gets dark earlier the fireworks are much earlier. Hadn't really factored in the parade at 10:15 and fireworks at 11 that we had this summer. It also wasn't very crowded.

Wow thanks.

Did any of you stay in any of the Disney hotels, did you think it was worth the money?

we have stayed at Newport bay twice in Dec with our kids. FANTASTIC!!!! Loved every minute of it and they are dying to go back!! It was great staying in a Disney hotel but we used tesco vouchers so we didn't notice the extra cost. They got to see characters in the hotel as well as the park which made it.
The weatehr first time for us was dry and very very cold but we bought ski wear off Ebay and they were fine! The next time was drizzly but still magical - we used the ski wear/waterproofs and it was fine! taking those clothes meant we could go on the water rides as it didn't matter if we got wet!

The aprade times and fireworks fited in well with bed time. Drinks from the hotel were expensive so we took some from a French supermarket - there is a garage on site too where you can stock up. We noticed food prices had gone up when we went last year and it wasn't cheap. But worth it!!!

so sounds like everyone who has been loves it.. right I think I am a woman on a mission to go now.

Who did you all book through? did you book as a package or book your hotel and travel seperately?
