Reschedule refund query

Long haul holiday booked with virgin for a fortnight, one week being the half term at £5500. If I reschedule for April which I think I feel happier with the holiday cost is almost £2000 cheaper with it being term time, will I get the difference refunded?

I think atm you would lose the deposit on first holiday then you would get cheaper price for second one. Would count as a cancellation and rebooking under normal terms and conditions.
