BA air miles 'refund'

Hi all

We booked a holiday for end of July, paid accommodation costs separately and used air miles to pay for 3 flights. Highly unlikely we will be able to access hotel and will get a refund/ or change date. Does anyone know if BA flight not going ahead will be get our air miles refunded or will we lose them or can we transfer? Can't find the answer on BA website. TIA

You get them back. If you call them when the flight is cancelled they will refund the miles.

Thank you! That's good to know.

It’s on the FAQs on ba.com. You can also request a future travel voucher to use to book another reward flight.

That's great news thank you!

The big advantage of using air miles is being able to cancel and get them back. There is a fee of about 40 pounds if I remember rightly.
I save my air miles for booking flights I might need to change ... much cheaper than booking a flexible fare.
